After transitioning to a leadership role 7 years into his career, he has setup and multiple Engineering teams in Retail Lending, Retail Banking, Credit Cards and Merchant Services which successfully delivered Technology solutions at Barclays.
Most recently, Shrihari lead the Technology teams responsible for delivering real time Credit Decisioning solution which allowed the Bank to offer merchant services to businesses in the UK. This allowed the Bank to onboard more merchants, reduced customer dropouts and lead to exponential growth in this line of Business.
Tarush is one of the leading experts in leveraging data for exponential growth, with over ten years experience in the field.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon in 2011, he became the first data engineer on the analytics team at Salesforce.com. Data was in its infancy, and the log metric framework which Tarush built was critical in allowing Salesforce to analyse data across customers and provide benchmarks across different industries and verticals
Most recently Tarush led Data for WeWork, one of the fastest growing companies in the world. WeWork leveraged data to be able to grow 10x in 3 years, supporting a footprint of 800+ offices in 120+ cities in 23+ countries with over 12,000 employees. Tarush scaled the data org from 2 to 100+ and their unique approach allowed them to stay lean while supporting every functional area of the business. In 2019 he moved to China to help establish WeWork’s Asia operations and focus on the hyper growing Chinese market.
Having 4+ years of experience in the IT industry, started my career as an ETL Developer/Administrator at Tata Consultancy Services, working for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). Being a huge movie buff, I never thought there would be anything else interesting other than movies in the workspace. But sooner, I was fascinated by the data and their ability to make the best decisions in the business. It was at this point that I realized, working with data is also a magical world like cinema. This carved my path towards data engineering and fetched me ‘On the Spot’ and ‘Walk the Talk’ Awards for delivering the best results as a Data Engineer.I was looking for an experience where I would get to work on all aspects of Data Analytics / Data Engineering project to understand and learn the process from start to end and work on the latest technologies in the Data world. That’s when I came to know about 5X and joined as a Lead Data Engineer on Feb 2022. With more than a year at 5X now, everyday I enjoy my work learning new things and I am also very glad in the way that I contributed to the growth of 5X.
Philip is a Finance Professional with 16 years of overall experience in business partnering, FPRA, financial controlling, working capital management, investment appraisals, accounting and process improvement.
Starting off as an entrepreneur in IT in 2000, he ran an IT product business and was able to secure a contract with one of the key players Pinnacle Micro. From there he moved to Financial Advisory services with specialization in risk mitigation and investment. The next stop was Anglo Platinum in the mining industry where he worked in the logistics field whilst studying.
After graduating with a degree in Financial Management from the University of Pretoria in 2005, Philip started working for Siemens as a Project Controller. Since then, Nokia acquired Siemens Telecoms and Philip enjoyed various different exciting roles in the company.
One of his roles was as a Senior Financial controller. It is a senior role in Nokia and has a strategic position – being the interface and driver/facilitator for many finance – CO/BG business topics. It provides strong support to the account director and Offer Controlling functions, during pre-sales phase and sales phase.
In this role he oversaw a small team of six colleagues and supported the key accounts to increase order intake, revenue and margin whilst ensuring compliance on internal controls.
Philip secured his associate status with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 2022.
Qi graduated from Emory University, majoring in Information System and Operations Management. Qi started her career as a business analyst at Hyatt, where she found her passion in the data and analytics world. Prior to joining 5X, She has worked at Hyatt, Bank of Canada, Uber Eats, WeWork, and Ant Group, in different fields of analytics, such as marketing, finance, operations, and product. She has also worked in different countries, such as the US, Singapore, Netherlands, and China to experience different cultures.
Qi enjoyed working at fast-growing unicorn tech companies and she met Tarush at WeWork Shanghai, where Qi was hired as the first senior data analyst outside of WeWork’s New York headquarters. She led the product analytics with 10x growth in users, and helped the China data team grow from 1 to 15 members in 2 years.
